Jaime Bonetti Zeller is an investment professional and entrepreneur with businesses in multiple industries. He is president of Servicios Consulares Eurodom, the local partner in the Caribbean region for VFS Global, a leader global outsourcing and technology services specialist for diplomatic missions and governments worldwide. Jaime Bonetti Zeller also started the company Sofratesa de Panama inc., an organization in the engineering services industry located in Panama City.
Jaime Bonetti Zeller graduated from Georgetown University in May 2002, where he majored in Economics and minored in Portuguese. He began working as a Consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in their Corporate Finance Group. He was focused on operational restructuring and business plan actualizations for clients in Central America and the Caribbean, where he also worked closely with the accounting/auditing group
In May 2003, Jaime Bonetti Zeller was recruited by the founders of InterPoint Venture Capital in the Dominican Republic to join them as an analyst evaluating and managing investments in the remittance/money transfer industry in the US and Latin America.
At InterPoint he was involved in two operations: the first, Interpoint Payout Partners, involved the creation of a remittance payout operation and national foreign exchange bureau in the Dominican Republic. The second, MiCash Inc, involved the launch of a money transfer/debit card company in the United States. As part of his new responsibilities, he was transferred to MiCash’s headquarters in Washington DC. At MiCash he helped develop the first reloadable money transfer debit card offered to immigrants in the United States. He was responsible for all operational aspects before the product launch in May of 2004.
Two years later (December 2005) after successfully concluding the negotiation of an important distribution partnership with Home Depot, Jaime Bonetti Zeller was offered a position with the Rhone Group in their Financial Restructuring arm in New York City. Rhone Group is a merchant bank with offices in NYC, London, and Paris that specializes in private equity investments and financial advisory services, including mergers & acquisitions, and restructuring.
As part of his rotational program, he was an investment analyst for Rhone Capital (the private equity arm of Rhone Group), with over €1.8 billion in assets, where his responsibilities included performing financial modeling—including public & transaction comparables and leverage buyout analyses to evaluate potential transactions in diverse industries such as food and beverages, chemicals, manufacturing among others—and assisting in the acquisition efforts by preparing final investment memorandums, narrative deal summaries, investment recommendations, and related support through in depth market analyses.
After Rhone group in 2009, Jaime Bonetti Zeller returned to the Dominican Republic where he started to put together a small family venture fund to invest in new businesses in different areas of interest.
One of the main businesses he started was a Consular Service business, which works in the outsourcing of Consular services. He has been working this business for several years and have successfully worked for all Schengen countries.
